Why Do We Need Your Information?
BOOST will process your personal data for the following purposes:
Customer Management
BOOST is dedicated to the sale of tourism products, through a physical store, as well as on its website and online sales platforms. Processing your data is necessary for fulfilling the sales or service contract to be entered into between you and BOOST.
We process and store your personal data as required to meet contractual and legal provisions. Accordingly, personal data processed will be retained for the duration necessary to provide the contracted services and to meet tax and legal obligations.
Marketing
BOOST may process your data to send you information about our products and services.
This data processing will only occur with your consent, provided at the time you purchase a BOOST product. If you consent, this means you agree to receive marketing communications via email and SMS. BOOST may also share your data with third parties managing social media, such as Facebook, to carry out social media marketing campaigns.
The consent for processing personal data for direct marketing purposes can be revoked at any time.
Your data will be retained for this purpose indefinitely.
Profiling
BOOST may create customer profiles based on your purchase information. Whenever you buy a BOOST product or service, in addition to your personal data, we record the purchased products, amounts paid, date and time, as well as the location of purchase or delivery.
This way, we can inform and advise you actively on our products and services, using appropriate records for this purpose, enabling targeted communication and advertising. BOOST applies all necessary measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms in this regard. You may exercise your rights at any time and:
(i) request clarifications regarding the terms and criteria for creating the profile;
(ii) contest decisions made based on automated decisions;
(iii) request human (non-automated) intervention.
For customer profiling created exclusively for commercial purposes, you may object to this profiling through the contacts above.
In-store Surveillance
BOOST’s store has a video surveillance system, duly signposted. The Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) has declared that the processing of personal data resulting from video surveillance, with the mentioned limitations, is appropriate, pertinent, and not excessive, given the declared purpose and MVMS, SA’s activity.
The recordings obtained by the video surveillance systems are kept in an encrypted file for 30 days from the time of capture, after which they are destroyed (except in cases of legal proceedings where extended retention may be necessary).

Other Questions
Will My Information Be Shared with Others?
Your personal information is not disclosed to third parties and is only processed within BOOST.
Exceptionally, your personal data may be processed by companies subcontracted by BOOST, namely for web hosting, email, user inquiries about services, information about new services and products, and special offers. These companies are provided only the personal data necessary for the provision of the relevant service.
Your data will be processed within the European Union.
What Are My Rights?
BOOST ensures all your rights related to data processing, as provided by GDPR, namely: the right to information, the right to rectify your data, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to object, and the right to data portability. Moreover, you have the right to file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
You may at any time request a copy of the consents you have provided to us.
You may also withdraw your consent for processing your personal data whenever such processing is based solely on consent (e.g., for direct marketing). This applies to consents provided before the GDPR’s effective date of May 25, 2018. Please note that the revocation and opposition are not retroactive, so processing done before these actions will not be affected.
Right of Access
The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation from BOOST whether or not personal data concerning them is being processed and, if so, to access their personal data and the legally stipulated information.
If you wish to obtain more than one copy of your personal data in processing, BOOST may charge a fee for administrative costs.
Right to Rectification
The data subject has the right to obtain from BOOST, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning them.
Right to Erasure
The data subject has the right to request BOOST to erase their data without undue delay, and BOOST has the obligation to delete personal data when, among other reasons:
a) The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed; b) The data subject withdraws their consent (when processing is based on consent) and there is no other legal basis for the processing; c) The data subject objects to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing.
Right to Restriction of Processing
The data subject has the right to obtain restriction of processing from BOOST in situations such as:
a) Contesting the accuracy of personal data, allowing BOOST to verify its accuracy; b) The processing is lawful, and the data subject opposes erasure, opting instead for restriction; c) BOOST no longer needs the personal data for processing but is required by the data subject for legal claims; d) If they have objected to processing, pending verification of whether BOOST’s legitimate grounds override theirs.
Right to Data Portability
When processing relies on the data subject’s consent provided by automated means, the data subject has the right to receive personal data concerning them that they have provided to BOOST in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Right to Object
Where data processing is conducted for BOOST’s legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes, or for profiling, the data subject may at any time object to their personal data processing.
Can I Withdraw My Consent Later?
If consent is legally required for processing personal data, the data subject has the right to withdraw it at any time, although such withdrawal does not compromise the legality of processing based on previously given consent or processing based on other legal grounds, such as compliance with contracts or legal obligations BOOST is subject to.
If you wish to withdraw your consent, please contact us by letter, phone, or email at clientes@boostportugal.com.
